It was with great pleasure that I and other members of the Sports Team attended the Active Swansea Sports Award 2011 held at the Brangwyn Hall.

This year, as part of the team’s commitment to grass roots sport and recreational activities, the JCP Sports Law Team sponsored the awards for Junior Sports Person of the Year – Male and Junior Sports Person of the Year – Female.  The event was very well attended and it gave me great pleasure to present the Male award to Daniel Huxtable of the Welsh Contact Karate Association the Female Award to Eleanor Jones of Swim Swansea.  Credit must also go to the runners up, Sam Davies of the Ospreys Academy, Ceri Silvestre of the Cardiff Junior Devils, Hannah Brier of Swansea Harriers and Beth Bingham of Swansea Bay Hockey Club respectively.  

Having won a similar award many years ago, I know how important this recognition is and it was particularly pleasing to see so many young sport persons in attendance.  Congratulations to them all.
