Lawyers launch dedicated sports website

We have recently launched a detailed website to highlight the specialised sporting legal services that are required locally for professional and semi- professional athletes, clubs, facilities and other sporting organisations.  Here at JCP Solicitors we have worked on individual, team and stadia related sports issues for over 10 years and with a marked increase in a local demand for their services, the firm has recently launched www.jcp-sports-law.co.uk

British Association for Sport and Law member Christian Edwards, has worked alongside Swansea City FC, The Liberty Stadium, Carmarthen Quins RFC, Dutch Eredivisie team ADO Den Haag and several key Welsh sporting individuals.

Christian Edwards is a partner at JCP Solicitors and is part of the multidisciplinary Sports Law team which includes Paul Shuttleworth, Robert James, Chris Shaw and JCP Solicitors founding partner Steve Penny who is also a director at Swansea City AFC and the Liberty Stadium Management Company.

The team has the ability to advise individual clients, teams and clubs of all statutes on sport law issues including contract creation and negotiation, stadia, property and construction disputes, intellectual property, image rights, personal planning, and commercial contract disputes.

Christian Edwards said: “We have found in the past the sporting individuals and organisations tend to look outside of Wales for expertise rather than looking for the specialist services on their doorstep. We were looking for a way to promote this and decided that putting it all in one place on the web was the way to go.”

Based on Swansea's busy Enterprise Zone, and with three additional offices in West Wales, JCP Solicitors employs 105 people. For further information on the JCP Solicitors Sports Law team please visit www.jcp-sports-law.co.uk, or contact Christian Edwards on 01792 529618.
